Potted Cheddar Cheese Spread

Ingredients

  • 6 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl combine the cheese and beer.
  • 2 give it a good stir and let stand for 30 minutes.
  • 3 blend in the remaining ingredients-mix very well.
  • 4 pack into airtight containers and store in the fridge for 1 month or the freezer for 3 months.
