Low Fat Cheese Sauce

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup egg substitute
  • 16 ounces cottage cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place flour in medium saucepan. gradually stir in milk until smooth.
  • 2 cook over medium low heat, stirring often until mixture boils and thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  • 3 sieve cottage cheese into a medium bowl. beat in egg substitute until well blended. stir into cooled milk sauce. season to taste with nutmeg, salt and pepper.
