Tomato, Goat's Cheese And Olive Gratin

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce (i use rich tomato compote rich tomato compote)
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 2 (100 g) packages soft rindless goat cheese
  • 16 pitted black olives

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oven to 180*c.
  • 2 (350*f).
  • 3 spread two thirds of the tomato compote over the base of an 9 by 8 inch baking dish.
  • 4 sprinkle over 1 tsp of the thyme.
  • 5 slice the tomatoes and goats cheese, then arrange in rows on top of the compote.
  • 6 scatter over the remaining thyme and the olives.
  • 7 spoon over the remaining compote.
  • 8 bake for 10 minutes, then pop the gratin under a hot grill until golden.
