Tomato-cheese Sauce

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 6 ounces tomato paste

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • 2 whisk in flour, and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 3 whisk in milk, bring to a simmer, and cook 6 to 8 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • 4 whisk in tomato paste, and cook 1 minute.
  • 5 remove pan from heat, and stir in cheese, salt, and pepper.
