Steamed Asparagus And Mushrooms With Danish Havarti Cheese

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1/2 lb asparagus
  • 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms (i used button)
  • 1/2 cup danish havarti cheese (shredded)
  • sea salt

Recipe

  • 1 fill steamer or steamer pot with water and bring to a boil.
  • 2 wash and slice mushrooms and place into colander of steamer.
  • 3 wash asparagus and snap off end of stalks.
  • 4 place on top of mushrooms in the colander.
  • 5 cover and steam until the asparagus is tender yet still a bit crisp.
  • 6 remove from colander to warm plate and immediately sprinkle cheese over top.
  • 7 sprinkle sea salt over top using your discretion.
  • 8 serve hot.
