- 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup dry wine
- fresh nutmeg
- black pepper
- 10 toast points
Recipe
- 1 in bowl, combine cheese and cornstarch. mix well to ensure cheese is well coated.
- 2 in a saucepan, bring wine to a boil over medium heat. reduce heat to low. add cheese mixture and cook, stirring, until mixture is melted and thick, about 2 minutes. season to taste with nutmeg and pepper.
- 3 place toast points on a rimmed baking sheet. spoon cheese mixture evenly. broil just until cheese begins to brown, about 2 minutes.
