Fondue Toasts

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup dry wine
  • fresh nutmeg
  • black pepper
  • 10 toast points

Recipe

  • 1 in bowl, combine cheese and cornstarch. mix well to ensure cheese is well coated.
  • 2 in a saucepan, bring wine to a boil over medium heat. reduce heat to low. add cheese mixture and cook, stirring, until mixture is melted and thick, about 2 minutes. season to taste with nutmeg and pepper.
  • 3 place toast points on a rimmed baking sheet. spoon cheese mixture evenly. broil just until cheese begins to brown, about 2 minutes.
