The Best Creamed Eggs From The Good Housekeeping Cookbook

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • speck pepper
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon snipped parsley
  • dried herbs
  • cheese (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 hard cook eggs. then shell.
  • 2 in pan, melt butter, add onion. simmer until tender. remove from heat. stir in flour, salt, pepper, worcestershire.
  • 3 slowly stir in milk. stir until thickened. add parsley & herbs. cut eggs into slices, quarters, or halves. fold into sauce. heat.
  • 4 serve on top of english muffins.
