Tossed Salad With Blue Fox Dressing

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced thin
  • 1/2 purple onions or 1 onion, the size of a golf ball
  • 1 (4 ounce) package blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash pepper

Recipe

  • 1 fry bacon until very crisp and crumble.
  • 2 tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
  • 3 slice onion tissue-paper thin.
  • 4 chill all items while you make the dressing.
  • 5 mix together the oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • 6 make sure the salad and dressing are well-chilled.
  • 7 to serve, mix together the dressing and lettuce, and toss lightly.
  • 8 garnish with bacon, blue cheese, tomato and onion.
  • 9 serve immediately.
