Quiche A La Lorraine

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie crust
  • 6 ounces bacon
  • 4 ounces gruyere cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 lay lightly sauteed strips of bacon to cover bottom of pie crust.
  • 2 cover bacon with thin slices of cheese.
  • 3 combine eggs, milk as well as salt and pepper to taste.
  • 4 pour half of the egg and milk mixture over bacon and cheese and wait for bacon and cheese to settle then add the rest to within 1/2 inch of top of crust.
  • 5 sprinkle with nutmeg to taste.
  • 6 bake at 400 degrees f for 25 to 30 minutes.
