Salsa Chili

Ingredients

- 1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/2 corn
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2-1 teaspoon minced jalapeno chili
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking barley
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 combine all ingredients except barley salt, pepper and cheese in slow cooker; cover and cook on high 3-4 hours, adding barley during the last 20 minutes.
- 2 season to taste with salt and pepper. serve each bowl topped with cheese.
